3's, 4's and 5's join Ms. June for P.E. once a week. The children explore a variety of traditional physical exercises as well as creative movement activities. They work on running, balancing, galloping, skipping, jumping, throwing and kicking. Ms. June teaches them playground games and leads them in relays. The children learn the rules of the playground and how to maneuver the equipment, go on nature hikes to find signs of fall and spring and even practice child-friendly yoga poses. At the end of the year, the children participate in the AEK Olympics complete with gold medals and learn dances for our Sock Hop.

2's, 3's, 4's and 5's attend music class with Ms. June each week. The children have fun learning songs that coordinate with the seasons of the year and classroom units. Songs often involve movement, motions and opportunities for learning. The children build musical skills using instruments such as drums, shakers and rhythm sticks. The older children even begin to learn music reading by playing instrument patterns with notes and rests. The 3's, 4's and 5's present a creative music program centered around a unique theme together each spring. Each 2's class performs a sweet program for parents at the end of the year. The classes also prepare songs for various other presentations throughout the year.
