Our 3’s attend school Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with an optional Friday Enrichment class. The maximum number of children in each class is 10.
Our 3’s are growing in independence, improving social skills, and expanding vocabulary to develop pre-reading readiness. Learning is in a positive, center-based atmosphere and new experiences such as easel painting and cutting with scissors are eagerly embraced. The Handwriting Without Tears program is utilized to develop fine motor skills and letter/number recognition and formation.Children continue to be read to daily and crafts are completed one-on-one with the teachers to encourage individuality. Our 3’s attend music and movement classes, story time, and chapel with Father Stephen. Highlights of the year include our Manners Breakfast, visits from special guests during Community Helpers Week, participation in the school-wide spring music program and our Mother’s Day Tea and Art Show. Teachers will visit students in their homes prior to the start of the school year.
